Copyright Policy
At MOSH.COM.SG, we love sharing recipes, stories, and everything that brings flavor to your kitchen. The words, photos, and creations you see here are the result of hours spent testing, writing, photographing, and—of course—eating. We're proud of what we build, and we believe others deserve recognition for their work, too. That’s why we take copyright seriously.
This page explains how we handle copyright concerns and how you can reach out if you believe your work appears on our site without permission.
Our Approach to Copyright
We value fair use, give credit generously, and always aim to respect creators. Whether it's a photograph, a recipe, or a personal story, we understand the effort involved. If you're a creator, you get it. If you're unsure whether something here might be yours, we're happy to talk it through. Transparency and honesty go a long way.
Should you believe we’ve used your work in a way that violates copyright law, don’t worry—we follow the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and are ready to resolve the issue swiftly and respectfully.
What’s Protected?
Under copyright law, the following types of content are protected:
- Original photographs
- Unique recipe descriptions, cooking notes, or serving tips
- Step-by-step instructions written in a distinctive way
- Personal stories and blog content
While basic ingredient lists by themselves aren’t protected, the way those lists are written and how they’re presented alongside original content can be.
If you’ve noticed your work on MOSH.COM.SG without your permission, keep reading to learn how to submit a takedown request.
How to File a Takedown Request
We don’t want to argue. If something of yours appears on our site without authorization, let us know, and we’ll take action.
To start the process, email dmca@mosh.com.sg with these details:
- Your full name and contact information
- A clear description of the copyrighted work
- A link to where your original content appears, or enough information to prove ownership
- A link to the page on our site that’s using your content
- A statement such as:
“I believe in good faith that this use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.” - A second statement like:
“I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.” - Your signature (typed is fine)
Email: dmca@mosh.com.sg
Address: Flat 2B, 1-3 San Lau Street, Hung Hom, Hong Kong
Phone: +852 5777 8880
What Happens Next?
Once we receive your notice:
- We’ll carefully review your claim and verify the information
- If your claim checks out, we’ll remove or restrict access to the content promptly
- We may notify the individual who posted the material
- If they believe the takedown was a mistake, they have the right to file a counter-notice
We handle all copyright concerns with care and respect. Our goal is always to fix issues, not escalate them.
Submitting a Counter-Notice
Received a takedown notification and believe it’s incorrect? Or do you have permission to use the content in question? You can file a counter-notice.
Please email dmca@mosh.com.sg and include:
- Your name and contact details
- The link to the content we removed or disabled
- A statement such as:
“I believe in good faith that the material was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification.” - A second statement like:
“I consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in Singapore and will accept service of process from the complaining party or their agent.” - Your signature (typed is acceptable)
If everything looks accurate, we may reinstate the content within 10–14 business days, unless we receive notice of legal action from the original complainant. Both parties will be updated throughout the process.
Handling Repeated Violations
We take ownership seriously. If someone repeatedly uploads content that violates copyright law, we may suspend or permanently restrict their access.
That said, we also believe in giving people the chance to learn. Everyone makes mistakes. But if someone consistently crosses the line, we will protect creators and act accordingly.
What You Can Do Instead of Copying
We’re thrilled when our food inspires others! If you'd like to share something from MOSH.COM.SG, consider these alternatives:
- Write about the dish in your own voice
- Share a link to the recipe page (not the full text)
- Snap your own photos
- Credit us clearly with name and URL
- Reach out if you’d like to collaborate or ask permission
We love partnerships, and a quick message can spark great things.
Accidental Sharing? Let's Talk.
Sometimes content is shared unintentionally. Maybe you thought something was in the public domain, or maybe you just didn’t know. That’s okay.
If you think that happened, just contact us. We don’t bite—we’ll figure it out together and resolve things quickly.
Our goal isn’t to punish—it’s to encourage learning, conversation, and respect in the food community.
