Bahamian Chicken Souse Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 2 lbs Chicken cut into pieces
- 1 large Onion sliced
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 medium Potatoes peeled and diced
- 1 large Carrot sliced
- 1 large Green Bell Pepper chopped
- 2 cups Water
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoon Lime Juice freshly squeezed
1. In a large pot, add the chicken pieces and cover with water. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.
2. Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, diced potatoes, sliced carrot, and chopped green bell pepper to the pot.
3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let it simmer for about 45 minutes or until the chicken and vegetables are tender.
4. Add the lime juice and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
5. Serve hot and enjoy!
