Main Ingredients
- 4 pounds corned beef brisket
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Place the corned beef brisket in a large pot. Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, water, mustard seeds, black peppercorns, and bay leaves.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pot and transfer it to the preheated oven.
Braise in the oven for about 4 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
Remove the brisket from the pot and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with the cooking liquid and vegetables if desired.
