Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed (15 oz)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions 

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cumin, paprika, and chili powder. Cook for another minute.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and beef broth. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
