Main Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 4 cups water divided
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup sugar or to taste
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
In a blender, combine the rice, 2 cups of water, and the cinnamon stick. Blend until the rice and cinnamon are roughly ground.
Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and add the remaining 2 cups of water. Let it sit at room temperature for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Strain the rice mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher. Discard the rice solids.
Stir in the milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is dissolved. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Serve over ice and enjoy!
