Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

For the Sauce
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 cans Crushed Tomatoes 28 oz each
- 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
For the Meatballs
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
- 0.25 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- 1 Egg
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
Add crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Form the mixture into meatballs. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and cook the meatballs until browned on all sides.
Add the browned meatballs to the sauce and let them simmer for another 10 minutes.
Serve the meatballs and sauce over cooked spaghetti.
