- 1 packet Active dry yeast
- ⅓ cup Warm milk
- 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 cup Softened butter
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 cup Pearl sugar
1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center and add eggs and yeast mixture. Stir to combine.
3. Add butter and vanilla extract to the dough. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 hour.
4. Gently fold in pearl sugar. Preheat waffle iron and lightly grease.
5. Divide dough into 8 pieces. Place a piece of dough in the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes. Repeat with remaining dough.
