  • 2 large Onions sliced into rings
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 quart Oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. 3. Dip onion rings into the flour mixture until well coated, then set aside.
  4. 4. Whisk the milk and egg together in a bowl. Dip the floured rings into the milk mixture, then into the breadcrumbs, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. 5. Deep fry the onion rings a few at a time for 2 to 3 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
