Instructions
Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick slices.
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Fry the plantain slices for about 3 minutes on each side until they are golden.
Remove the plantains from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Using the bottom of a glass or a tostonera, flatten each plantain slice.
Return the flattened plantains to the hot oil and fry again until crispy, about 2 minutes per side.
Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and season with salt to taste.
