Ingredients 

Gravy

  • 1 pound Breakfast sausage
  • ¼ cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

Biscuits

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Cold butter cut into small pieces
  • ¾ cup Milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt for the biscuits. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk until just combined.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently. Roll out to ½ inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. While the biscuits are baking, cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Do not drain the fat.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the sausage gravy over the warm biscuits.
