Main Ingredients
- 4 fillets Catfish
- 1 cup Cornmeal
- ½ cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper
- ½ teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- 2 cups Buttermilk
- 1 cup Vegetable oil for frying
1. In a shallow dish, combine cornmeal, flour, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
2. Pour buttermilk into another shallow dish.
3. Dip each catfish fillet into buttermilk, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture, pressing to coat.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
5. Fry catfish fillets in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
6. Remove fillets from oil and drain on paper towels.
7. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
