Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh fish fillets (tilapia, sea bass, or snapper) diced
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • ½ cup diced red onion
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño seeded and minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the fish and lime juice. Make sure the fish is fully submerged in the lime juice. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour, or until the fish is opaque and "cooked" through.
  2. Drain the fish, discarding the lime juice. Return the fish to the bowl.
  3. Add the red onion, tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapeño to the fish. Mix well.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.
